The Heat

Charlotte Bobcats v Miami Heat

No matter what team you are a fan of, you know the unfortunate truth that the Heat are most likely going the NBA Playoffs this year. I personally dislike the Heat and that is most likely because they are good. Most fans out there will agree that if there is a team out there they don’t like, it is because they are good or at least better than their favorite team. The Heat are good. There is no denying that. It wasn’t just a coincidence they won 27 games in a row. 11 of those wins were against teams above .500. I’m sorry Pacer fans but it is really hard to see Miami losing 4 games in a series.

LeBron, Bosh, Allen, Cole and Anderson are all shooting over .500 in the playoffs. Norris Cole is shooting .604 with 79 points and Anderson is .786 with 63 points. Everyone on this team seems to be on the same page, and it is hard to beat a team so in sync as this one in any sport. Most teams have been struggling with certain aspects of their game may it be injuries or transition offence but the Heat seem to be flawless, and if one does show it will be gone before the next game.

Like I said, I am not a Heat fan. Actually I take that back. I was a Heat fan and a LeBron fan up until the Decision as with a lot of fans out there. I am a Wade fan, that’s for sure. But I can respect what James has done on the court. He is a crazy good athlete and he makes it look effortless. He has shot .518 and .321 from behind the three-point line. He has just about the same amount of points as Bosh and Wade combined with 216. And this is all just the playoffs! He is good.

I find it hard to believe that any team can beat them in a best of 7 series. This is the NBA Playoffs not the NCAA Tournament. It is made so the best team wins, and right now that is the Heat. There was a time during the season where some thought they were going to win out the rest of the year. That may seem a little far-fetched but if you really watch how well this team plays it wasn’t hard to believe.

The Spurs are the only team in the playoffs that have a chance to beat the Heat, and that’s what I thought going in. They average the most points per game in the NBA with 103 but what they lack is offensive rebounding and if they are going to beat this Heat team that’s what they need.

The Heat have a straight shot in my mind to winning the NBA Finals. The Pacers don’t stand a chance against this Miami Heat team unfortunately. Game 1 of the series starts on Wednesday at 8:30 on TNT, and it will be interesting to see how much of a competition the Pacers will really be.
